Tamika joined EASA in 2022, the same year she started her own business. Top Corner Psychology. Tamika moved to East Arnhem Land early in her career to begin working as a Forensic Psychologist, and quickly discovered a passion for delivering quality services to those in remote communities, and on country.
She grew Top Corner Psychology quickly to be able to provide quality psychological therapy and assessment for those who would otherwise have had difficulty accessing services due to physical, health or financial constraints.
Tamika found her passion working with people to resolve past traumas, particularly young children and teens. She is a strong advocate for the Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander community, and is motivated by her ability to assist those who have not had access to therapy in the past. Outside of clinic hours, Tamika has continued involvement in the East Arnhem community, encouraging cultural awareness and education in her community, an endeavour that Tamika is particularly passionate about.
